Ground Meat Philly Cheese Steak

I was finally able to have the time to make a cooking video of one of my super easy recipes. This is a great meal that you can make ahead and heat and eat whenever you want it. This is how I do it, just remember this is only one way to do it. You can add more to it or leave some out. I use ground deer meat in mine so I added a little bit of butter because our ground deer is very lean even with adding beef fat when we processed it. This is one meal that is very versatile, you can add mushrooms or use mushrooms as a meat substitute.

Ground Meat Philly Cheese Steak

Ingredients

1 lb ground meat
1/2 an onion, chopped
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Hamburger seasoning
2 Tbl Worcestershire sauce
1-2 bell peppers, chopped
Optional 2-3 slices of cheese
Sub rolls
Optional Mayonnaise, mustard or other condiment
Cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook ground meat and onion, drain off any extra liquid or fat.
  2. Season to your liking with garlic powder, onion powder, hamburger seasoning and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  3. Add bell peppers and cook 3-5 minutes, until the peppers have softened slightly. Add cheese if desired.

At this point you can let it cook and store in the fridge if desired.

To Serve

  1. Heat the oven to 375 line a pan with foil.
  2. While the oven heats, put your condiments on the rolls and load your rolls with the meat mixture and top with cheese.
  3. Push the rolls snugly side by side and wrap sides with foil to prevent burning. Bake 7 minutes.
